Welcome,
My name is Miha.
I am a practitioner of Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Tui Na Medical Massage.
I am also an instructor of Qigong and Tai chi classes based in Crystal Palace and Norwood.
My Background:
My journey to the healing path started with none other than martial arts.
I begin learning Qigong and Tai chi from my dear teachers (at Golden Flower Daoist School) in Hungary in 2013. The influence of these arts has been tremendously helpful for both my physical and emotional health so I have decided to move to London and study Chinese Medicine.
I graduated from the University of Westminster with a BsC (Hons) degree in Chinese Medicine Acupuncture in 2019, where he had the opportunity to treat patients both at the university Polyclinic as well as the fast-spaced, NHS operated, Gateway Acupuncture Clinic.
I have also completed a year-long Licentiate Diploma of Tui Na Medical Massage at
The City College of Acupuncture in 2020. Which was run by the renowned Sarah Pritchard amongst other excellent teachers.
Thereafter I further expanded my knowledge by attending an advanced courses with
Alex Brazkiewicz in ‘Treating Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions by integrating Western & Traditional East Asian Medicine (TEAM)’ in 2021.
I have also started studying Dissolve Therapy in 2023 which has deep origins in Buddhist meditation and Yang style Tai chi Chuan. It has been established the Mack family and is widely popular in those longing for bliss in their life.
In the meantime I have kept close contact with my teachers and so I had the privilege to become one of the founding member of Golden Flower Daoist Association (2020), whilst also becoming an official instructor for the school.
Our Tai chi school also became a European branch of Daoist Master, Zhou Xuan Yun’s Wudang Daoist School in Hungary.
My practice:
of martial arts -Tai Chi Chuan, Qigong and Meditation- has been very influential on my work as a therapist. It greately helped me to understand the collerations between our health, lifestyle, psychological imprint and the importance of decisions and goals in our everyday life.
I have came to the conclusion that: Medicine is alive (Yang Sheng),
the more interconnected we become with every aspects of our life,
the more in tune we are with our needs and life purpose,
the healthier, the most wholesome we become.
And that is what I practice here at Harmony Within as
I have been fortunate enough combine the 3 main branches of
Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture, Tui Na, Qigong) in my practice,
for the purpose of helping those suffering from a wide variety of conditions.
I have also started running ‘Active Relaxation Classes’ for the local community
in 2021 and later on Qigon and Tai Chi classes including the following methods:
nervous-system shooting techniques, self-massage, body alignment for balance,
Ba Duan Jin Qigong, Wudang Tai chi Chuan 28 steps, standing and sitting meditation
and lifestyle advice (Yang Sheng).
My accreditations:
I am a full member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), which is the largest governing body -with the highest standards- of Chinese Medicine practitioners in the UK.
BAcC is also accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) which is a government endorsed, independent organisation overseeing regulations, therefore upholding high standards of health- and social-care for the public.
My mission:
I understand that due to our metropolitan lifestyle we all tend to “forget” about the aches and pains, the mental strain, the burnout and the emotional deprivation, etc
until they scream too loud to be ignored anymore.
My mission is to ease suffering.
To re-connect: to help rediscover that tender connection to your-self, so you can make the decision to live your life fully, to the best of your capabilities.
And also to support and create a community, where we can understand that suffering is interpersonal, and that by sharing and connecting, we can alleviate not just each others
but our own pain as well.
My approach:
I am not here to fix you, because you are not broken.
Wether it is Acupuncture, Massage, Tai Chi or Qigong classes,
all I am doing is helping you reflect.
With acupuncture needles, I provide some input to your physical and energetic body to self-reflect and realise where correction needs to happen.
With massage I am giving your body a signal that it does not need to fight battles, neither thos that have already been fought or those to come. I am giving it a chance to readjust.
In Qigong and Tai chi classes I am not really teaching anything “new”. I am just serving as a mirror so you can go back to your natural state of movement and posture which is both playful and joyful.
Obviously all of these arts are much deeper than how I just described them, yet I hope that delivered the message intended.
Please never forget:
Looking for and accepting help is often the first step towards a healthier self.
This is your chance to take your well-being into your own hands.
My mission is to help you prevent lasting pains and illnesses on both mental and physical levels. To guide you on the path of self-nourishment (yangsheng) so you can take responsibility over your life before any disharmony reaches unbearable levels.
